Filipina Kisses - is it a Good Filipino Dating Site?

Filipina Kisses is a wildly popular Filipina dating site. But how does it compare to its competition? Let's have a little look...

First of all Filipina Kisses is very popular. I find this is a little strange as the site design is a total shambles. But on the plus side, the membership fee is fairly reasonable, and it's not one of those dubious letter writing sites. It's also one of the few sites to make it easy to find Filipino ladyboys.

  • DateInAsia is a free Asian dating site. This site has a reasonable reputation amongst men who are looking for Filipinas to date. On the downside, the site has a very basic search facility. It's maybe a good site for the gentleman with a lot of time on his hands.
  • Filipina Heart is a nice site in terms of ease of use and features. This is my preferred Filipina dating site. The downside is that there are only Filipinas on this site, so if you also wanted to chat to Thai girls then you'd have to take out a separate subscription to the ThaiLoveLink sister site of Filipina Heart.
  • Cherry Blossoms is a reasonably priced site. The good thing about this one is that there are also Thai and Chinese ladies on the site, so you can pay a single subscription fee and talk to ladies from a wide range of Asian countries. Cherry Blossoms has a slightly better site design than Filipina Kisses, but that's not saying much really.
Finally the good news is that choose any of these sites and you'll be swamped with interest from cute Filipinas looking for husbands!

Avoiding Terrible Thai Love Links Scams

Here's an article about Thai Love Link scams. Thai Love Links is a popular Thai dating site run by Cupid Media. I've not used Thai Love Links as much as I have its sister sites Japan Cupid, Chinese Cupid and Filipina Heart. But the sites are all pretty much the same.

Sadly Thai dating sites have a bit of a repuation for scam ladies. Finding an honest Thai bride isn't that easy, especially if you use a dating site rather than a marriage agency. My top tips for avoiding the many scammers and dubious ladies on the Cupid Media sites are:

Look for a lady with a proper day job, not one who described her self as being self employed or having a home business.
Avoid ladies with hidden profiles or no any photos in their profile.
Avoid ladies who smoke or who have tattoos.
Avoid ladies who give you their email address in their first email to you then profess their dying love for you.
Be wary of ladies who do things out of the ordinary, like suggest you chat on another site.

Finally the obvious thing is to never send money to anyone you meet on Thai Love Links or any other site.

More DateInAsia Timewasting

I'm looking for a Chinese wife so recently I signed up to the DateInAsia free Asian dating site. I've had a couple more contacts. Again neither of the ladies were particularly suitable. One didn't have a photo, the other was only 22 and just wanted to chat. I want to find a wife. I have no interest in chatting.

Really I should spend an evening browsing the site in search of Chinese ladies to chat to. But why should I? The site is basically rubbish. There are too many timewaster ladies. There are too many dubious ladies. And the site has very basic facilities for storing your favorites while you think about them.

No, I'm sticking with Chinese Cupid. It cost around $165 to join for a whole year. There are great facilities for saving details of your favorite Chinese ladies. You can even put little notes next to their photos so you can remind yourself of why you liked them, and whether you think they're good wife material.

If you're serious about finding a good quality Asian wife then you'll need these types of logistics. To give you an example I've currently got 39 ladies on my favorites list. That's actually cut down from 58 I had at one stage. And that's actually quite a low number because I'm planning to visit a specific city and I have absolutely no interest in ladies who are emailing me from other parts of China (focus is crucial in this game).

How Much Money Does an American Man Need to Get a Chinese Wife?

Interested in Chinese mail order brides but not sure if you can afford it? It's best to do some math before you fall in love with a beautiful Chinese lady on a site like Chinese Kisses.

So let me give you a ballpark figure. Finding a Chinese wife from China will cost around $10,000. This includes:
  • Dating site or marriage agency fees.
  • Travelling to meet her (and factoring in the fact that the first lady you visit might not be a suitable bride for you).
  • Engagement and marriage.
  • Bringing her back to live with you in the states.
Additional costs will of course arise after marriage. Most (all?) Chinese people attach a great importance to money and wealth. If you don't have a lot of cash, then your new bride may not stick around. Make sure you can support her after you get married! This will include at least one trip back to China each year so she can visit her family.

Chinese ladies who don't speak English can find it exceedingly hard to find employment in the USA after marriage. So you'll have to support her for a long time. She might be able to get a cleaning job or something. But a career lady who had a good career back in China won't find this exactly fulfilling.

So if you're a man of modest means, then think carefully about your Chinese wife idea and make sure you really can afford it. As with everything in life, you have to be realistic about your dreams.

Scammers Scammers Everywhere

So I've spent a few hours this morning reading about dating site scams on Romance Scam.com. This is an interesting, and also disturbing site. The main problem is that dating site scammers seem to be operating on just about every dating site there is. If you thought the problem was mainly affecting foreign dating sites (especially mail order bride themed sites) then you'd be wrong. In fact, eHarmony is getting a poor reputation for the number of scammers operating on that site. If you thought eHarmony was safe and secure, then you might want to so some Googling.

This certainly computes with what I've heard from other sources. One thing I've learnt is that both men and women are equally likely to be scammed. Women in particular are very susceptible to West African dating site scammers from Ghana and Nigeria. They'll often pose as good looking American men in order to lure in their victims. There's plenty of evidence that they steal photos from other dating sites, choosing the photos of the best looking men on whichever site they're looking at. So always be careful when uploading photos of yourself to a dating site. Only upload your own photos to sites that employ watermarking of the photos, so they're not so easy to steal.

So whether you're seeking a Russian bride, an Asian bride or a partner from your own town, be vigilant! The good news is that with experience you can learn to spot the majority of the scammers, especially the money scammers. But if you're contemplating online dating, then you really need to read, read and read until you know how to spot the scammers.
