Personally I don't like to see the term mail order brides. It's a little demeaning and makes it appear that you're buying a wife. Finally, they often have a high standard of education. Increasing numbers of Chinese women have degrees from overseas Universities, and I've chatted to plenty of ladies with better careers (and salary!) than my own. I've often been turned down by these ladies. But you know what - that's an excellent sign. It means they're not desparate to marry the first man who comes along, and it gives me a clue that I'm looking at the right type of lady for a long lasting marriage.

My runners up for best mail order brides would be Filipinas. They tend to be extremely friendly and can make loving, devoted wives. If you want a wife who adores you then head to the Philippines. On the downside, I know I'm not particularly religious, so I don't know if that would be a problem should I choose to find a Filipina bride. And Filipina scammers are very numerous on dating sites so it's a bit like sticking your head in a barrel full of snakes. It's sad that the game players make it much harder for honest ladies to find marriage partners on Filipina Heart, DateInAsia and the other Filipino dating sites. One guy I spoke to recently told me he'd chatted to 40 Filipinas on Filipina Heart, and he'd been shocked that all but two of them appeared to be angling for money.
